When Your Body Connects With Mine

My head is hazy from running,

A sting in my side.

Sweat pouring down my forehead,

Lips trembling from sobs.

Cheeks are tear stained,

I’m breathing heavily.

Somehow my body can’t rest. And then your body connects with mine,

my heart thumps loudly for only you and your presence.

For your warm breath invites my neck. “You can relax”, You say and you let your arms caress themselves onto my trembling back.
