Crossing The Sea

I will pack my clothes,

I will catch the bus to the ferry boat.

I will let my worries fall into the deep blue sea.

I will take everything with me, except my old house; I sold it months ago.

Yes I will cross the sea to be with you.

The mailguy will wonder where I am, but I don’t really care while I’m here with you.

My neighbor would try to call me,

But I guess it’s too late;

Really, I just want to have a clean slate.

The cat sleeping on my old front porch won’t be sleeping there anymore since it’s clear that I’m long gone.

Yes I will cross the sea to be with you.
